Salim plants a small seed that his grandfather gave him, but he waits for days without seeing any sign of growth. One mysterious night, he catches a glimpse of a green glow emanating from the soil, and suddenly finds himself smaller than a grain of sand and inside the world of the seed! Salim embarks on a journey through the soil, roots, and leaves, discovering how plants get water, air, and light; how they make their own food; and why too much water can harm them. In the end, he discovers that the seed wasn’t refusing to grow… it was simply waiting for the right conditions.
